Barbecook pizza stone
A pizza stone is a flat plate made of refractory clay. A pizza stone ensures better heat conduction from below, which will make your favourite pizza extra crispy. It’s important to preheat the pizza stone in advance. Barbecook offers a rectangular pizza stone and a round pizza stone.
Preparation of pizza with merguez, mozzarella and tomato on the BBQ
For this pizza recipe we use the Barbecook Kamal. Light your kamado barbecue with some firelighters and place the divide & conquer system with the plate setters in your barbecue. Place the grid on top and then the round Barbecook pizza stone. Bring to a temperature of about 275-300 °C.
In the meantime, you can prepare your pizza. To give this recipe a fun touch, we choose to cut the dough in the shape of a heart. Cover the pizza dough with a few tablespoons of tomato puree, mozzarella and pieces of merguez sausage. Season with orgenano, pepper and salt. Finally, sprinkle some olive oil on it. Are you a real vegetable lover? Then add some vegetables such as mushrooms, spinach, artichokes or peppers. The choice is yours!
Put the pizza on the preheated pizza stone and close the lid of your Kamal. Bake the pizza for about 10 to 15 minutes. Make it easy on yourself and remove the pizza from the barbecue with the Barbecook pizza spatula. Finish off with some fresh basil and finely grated parmesan cheese!
Now cut into equal pieces with the help of Barbecook's handy pizza cutter.
Mamma Mia, what a pizza!
